I have practiced individual therapy and group therapy for eleven years. I have certificates in Cognitive Behavior Therapy from The Beck Institute, Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills from The Linehan Institute, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy from The Institute for Solution Focused Therapy. I have studied Eastern philosophies and mindfulness theory and have participated in, and led sessions in mindfulness practice.

Most recently, I have been combining mindfulness with Cognitive Behavior Therapy. I teach how to use mindfulness principles of compassion, non-attachment, living with intention, and serving the community. I combine these principles with the cognitive skills for “rewiring” thought patterns. Together, these skills facilitate meaningful change in the mind and heart.
